Raya D.J. MacKenzie
Raya D.J. MacKenzie joined the firm in August 2018 as an articled student after receiving her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria. She was called to the bar May 28, 2019.
Raya obtained her Honours Degree in English Literature from the University of Victoria in 2014. After her undergraduate degree, Raya worked at Jawl Bundon LLP as a legal assistant from April 2014 to September 2015, when she began her studies at the Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria. During Law School, Raya received many academic awards including the Law Society of British Columbia’s Gold Medal, awarded to the student who has attained the highest academic standing in the Law School’s graduating class.
Raya has also aimed to gain practical legal experience throughout her education. During law school, Raya participated in the Access Pro Bono Legal Clinic as well as the UVic Business Law Clinic, both of which offer free services to members of the public. Raya has worked closely with experienced mentors at Jawl Bundon LLP since beginning her legal studies in 2015. She continues to benefit from their expertise today.
Raya practices in the areas of Wills and Estates, Trusts, Estates Litigation, Real Estate, and Business Law. Raya is excited to continue her career at Jawl Bundon LLP and is dedicated to serving the Victoria community.
