Gerald B. Sauder
Gerald (Jerry) Sauder represents and advises clients with respect to their Wills and Estate Planning, residential real estate purchases and sales and family owned, small businesses.
Jerry was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and raised in Vancouver, B.C. He attended the University of British Columbia entering their Bachelor of Arts program majoring in Political Science and History. After three years in the Liberal Arts programme, Jerry was accepted into UBC’s law school and graduated in 1972. He moved to Victoria, B.C., completed his articles and practiced with David Skillings for 16 years. Jerry then formed his own firm of Shaw Sauder with which he practiced until 2009 and the retirement of his partner, David Shaw.
Jerry’s non office time is spent in his garden or at fraternal lodge meetings. He has also served as Board Member and Past President of Greater Victoria Hospital Foundation, Victoria Hospice Society and the Union Club of British Columbia. He is a Life Member of Kinsmen Clubs of Canada. Jerry continues to serve on a number of Private Charitable Foundation Boards.
